Storm currently has 12 wind farms of a total of 28 turbines running onshore in Belgium. Together they produce approximately 183,900 MWh annually, which is sufficient to provide electricity to some 55.000 Belgian households.
The Northwind windfarm consists of 72 offshore V112-3.0MW MVOW Vestas turbines, with a combined capacity of 216MW. The project was completed in May 2014. The windfarm spans 14.5 km2 and is located on the Lodewijkbank 37km off the coast of Zeebrugge.
The annual electricity production will suffice in the electricity demand of 800 Dutch households. The commissioning is planned to take place in April 2018.
This onshore windfarm is located close to the Dutch city of Terneuzen. It consists of 22 turbines of 2 MW each, totalling 44 MW.
The Deutsche Bucht windfarm is still under construction, and is scheduled to be finished end of 2019. The total investment value is approximately EUR1.3 billion, and the project was sold to Northland Power.
The Gemini windfarm is, with 600MW capacity, one of the largest existing wind farms in the world.
The 50 3.3MW MHI Vestas Offshore Wind turbines lead to a rated capacity of 165MW, that will generate 679GWh annually.
This windfarm was known as the Q7 Wind Farm prior to its offical opening in June 2008. The windfarm consists of 60 Vestas V80-2.0MW turbines, totalling 120MW capacity.
